PrePolTM
is a unique polyurethane prepolymer engineered to generate flexible
to semi-rigid hydrophilic foams by simply blending with water. The
water can comprise from 25% to 300% (w/w) of the prepolymer and
serves as a vehicle for the intimate impregnation of powders,
liquids and solids into the resultant foam products.
Different from traditional polyurethane
systems, PrePolTM
is synthesized without the assistance of external catalysts. This
process allows for the production of extremely clean foam with
extremely low amounts of extractables or residuals. QSR standards
are followed throughout the entire production process to ensure
consistent quality, run after run.
Because PrePolTM
reacts irreversibly with water, exclusion of moisture during storage
is a necessity. This is accomplished by nitrogen-blanketing storage
drums and containers.

Our
Polyether Polyurethane prepolymer is water activated,
yielding foams and gels with unique characteristics -
Hydrophilic, Bio-Compatible, loading of additives to 80% by
weight and a very low exotherm reaction. This prepolymer
system allows one to achieve a variety of cell sizes,
textures, densities, and resiliencies without the
incorporation of other polymer additives. Process and
equipment assistance is available to qualified accounts. |
