Welcome to Filtrona Porous Technologies

Filtrona Porous Technologies is a premier creator and manufacturer of custom fluid and vapor handling components. Our components deliver high value, precision performance to many of the most well known consumer, industrial, medical, and professional devices in the world.

The liquid handling components of Filtrona Porous Technologies are found in widely recognized high performance writing instruments, inkjet printer cartridges, medical diagnostics instruments, surgical devices, wound care treatments, and everyday household and personal care products. We are often the hidden yet critical component to some of the world's best known brand name devices-products whose essential functions demand custom and world class liquid handling.

Our products are custom designed and often three dimensional, made of either synthetic fibers or hydrophilic foam, and formed with proprietary technology. The components are used as absorbent media, liquid metering agents, filters, liquid reservoirs, liquid wicks and other capillary transfer components to precisely absorb, retain, transfer or release liquids or vapor at the micro and milliliter scale. We are a leading innovator in the continuous bonding of fibers and in the polyurethane production process of hydrophilic foam.

With our global presence and manufacturing locations in North America, Europe, and Asia, Filtrona Porous Technologies draws from a vast portfolio of materials, processes, and chemistries to custom engineer or even invent fluid- and vapor-handling solutions.
